Electric Bicycle Batteries

There are three types of rechargeable batteries / chargers for battery-assisted bicycles: lithium-ion batteries, nickel-metal hydride batteries, and nickel-cadmium batteries. Chargers are used for compatible battery numbers. Nickel metal hydride batteries and nickel-cadmium batteries have a so-called “memory effect”, and their functions may be restored by performing a refresh charge using a charger. On the other hand, lithium ion batteries do not require refresh charging. Recently, a long-life type that can be used for a long time has appeared, and some can be used for about 7 to 9 years.
